Carbide engraving bits for stone, marble, and granite
Carbide engraving bit for CNC routers and CNC machines for 10-mm cylindrical shank tools
This is the most widely used (and our most widely sold) carbide tip used by stoneworkers who write, engrave, and finish marble and granite, including bas-relief creations with CNC machines and routers.
2 different versions are available: M, for marble, and G, for granite. Choose the correct carbide alloy for your application. Versions with or without through-tool-cooling are also available. Bore-holed bits allow water to pass within the tool to cool it.
It may happen that these “Carbide V-Groove Router Bits” are not available in stock, in this case have a look to the alternative product: Amastone engraving bits for marble
Carbide bit cutting angles:
- 30° round-tip carbide router bits
- 30° flat-tip carbide router bits
- 45° V-groove router bit
- 60° V-groove router bit
- 90° V-groove router bit
- 15 mm diam – 90° V-groove router bit
- 105° V-groove router bit
- 120° V-groove router bit
Recommendation:
Carbide tips are recommended especially for marble and soft stone. To engrave hard granite and particularly abrasive materials, we recommend PCD, polycrystalline diamond-tipped tools for granite.
Recommended operating parameters
We recommended the following parameters for your CAD/CAM program when using single-lip bits.
- Spindle speed between 5000 a 7000 RPM as a function of the feed rate
- Feed rate between 100 and 500 mm/min as a function of the plunge Z and material hardness
- Maximum depth 3 mm (recommended 1mm)
- We recommend ramp maneuvering when penetrating the stone
Typical parameters:
Plunge (step in Z): 1mm
Spindle speed: 7000 rpm
Feed rate: 400 mm/min
Plunge rate: 80 mm/min with ramp maneuvers
Material: marble
Note:
You will need ER-Collet sized for 1omm fittings when using a 10-mm shank tools

Non a caso mi sono fermato da questo commerciante…
Ho comprato pezzi di granito e sono sempre stati onesti e leali… Principalmente abbiamo una conversazione attraverso la quale scambiamo opinioni e otteniamo risposte alle mie domande…
Grazie !

Good for finishing in granite, but cannot compare to PCD performance.
