CNC Router definition:
A CNC router (Or Computer Numerical Control router) is a computer-controlled cutting machine related to the hand-held router used for cutting various hard materials, such as stone, marble, granite, wood, composites, aluminum, steel, plastics, and foams. CNC stands for computer numerical control. CNC routers can perform the tasks of many carpentry shop machines such as the panel saw, the spindle moulder, and the boring machine.

Next is a CNC Router machine with 3 interpolated axes + a fourth axis (lathe).
Designed for the stoneworking as marble and granite it’s also able to work on glass, plastic and wood materials.
All axes movements are carried out on ball screw and high-torque step motors.
Next is managed by the powerful and extremely versatile OSAI Open-Xs control. Thanks to this control, the axes movements are very smooth even at high speeds to avoid stressing the mechanical components.
Next automatically handles water and air. In particular, if the water is not present during the machining process, or the pressure is not enough, the machine stops and warns the operator; the same happens if there is no air. Air is very important because it is used to pressurize the electro-spindle bearings to avoid that water can damage them.
Next comes with an interesting feature called SFC (Smart Feed Control), a kind of an intelligent speed control. This feature allows the machine to automatically adapt the feed rate during cutting according to the electric spindle load. This means that if the machine has difficulty cutting (due to a hard slice of material, or a broken tool, too much tool sinking for an error in cam programming, etc …) it will automatically slow down its speed to the point where the load is in acceptable range values.
Next router is able to read the standard G-Code language so is compatible with the major CAD / CAM software.
