    Solid carbide engraving bits for CNC routers and machines – Amastone

    Amastone’s solid carbide engraving router bits are ideal tools for engraving and lettering stone and for finishing and bas-relief work in general.
    These made-in-Italy high-quality stone engraving bits for marble. Widia – solid carbide – engraving bits with a cutting angle adge of 30°, 45°, 60°, 70°, or 90°. They may have a rounded tip (0.5 mm radius) too.
    The bit shank is 10mm in diameter and bored for the inner water flow.
    The 60° and 90° tips also come with a reverse cutting edge to be used on machines with an anticlockwise rotation.

    Operating parameters:

    When using a single lip carbide bit, we recommend the following parameters for your CAD/CAM program

    • Speed of rotation 5000 to 7000 RMP as a function of feed rate
    • Feed rate between 100 and 500 mm/min based on depth in Z and material hardness
    • Maximum depth 3mm (recommended 1mm)
    • Ramped plunge recommended for stone

      Hello and good morning, I am using AI90F tool bit 30M to engrave marble with a CNC router Gerber Sabre 408. My question is: is this a suitable tool to engrave marble and what is the ideal settings to put. I have tested with 6000 RPM (this is the lowest setting i can put), with Feed 10mm/second and depth per pass 0.2mm for a total 2mm depth. Its a very slow procedure and I wanted to know what is the max depth i can use per pass and if I can increase the feed. Additionally, please advise me for best tools to engrave marble with cnc

      Yes of course the bits FI90M (OMGF make) and AI90F (Amastone make) are both suitable for the marble engraving.

      0.2mm depth per pass is too less you can go down up to 3mm per pass but we suggest 1 mm.
      This will reduce your time work by a factor of 5x.

      Rotation can be 5000-7000 rpm 
      Feed rate up to 500mm/min 
      Of course, everything depends on the vibrations you have on the machine and on the hardness of the material.
